Sabrosa Salsa is a homemade salsa for everyone. Easy to make and reminiscent of the Salsa dance. Did you know the term salsa is associated more often with the Caribbean dance and music played by Latin-Americans.

Well I got to tell ya, Capt'n Salsa is not the most coordinated individual on the dance floor even to the four count beat of the salsa. I'll be more than happy to practice my rhythm and coordination to the four count pulsing of the food processor as the salsa music plays in the back ground.

Enjoy the Sabrosa Salsa you'll love the simplicity of this delicious homemade salsa recipe. Improvising with what you learned in the past to get your taste buds dancing.

My personal favorite with Sabrosa Salsa is to use "roasted Jalapeño" and fresh green chiles.

Enough of this time to segue and strike up the band for some delicious salsa from the kitchen.

Sabrosa Salsa

  • 1 can chopped green chiles

  • 2 Jalapeño or Serrano chiles, chopped

  • 4 tomatoes, chopped 1 medium red onion, chopped

  • 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro

  • 2 tablespoon oil

  • 2 tablespoon fresh lime juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

Capt'n Salsa's note: Sure the Cilantro is optional, yeah I know you either love it or hate it but did you know how healthy it is for you.

Combine all ingredients. Allow salsa to season for at least an hour before serving. Sabrosa Salsa will have your feet dancing the salsa in no time.
