Seeding Chiles

Salsa Recipes

"How do I get all those out?"

When seeding Chiles. Don´t forget to wear your gloves! The ovule and the white vein ribs of chiles are intensely hot, and are often removed before the chile is used.

If a recipe calls for a chili to be stuffed, simply cut a slit along the length of the chile using a sharp knife. Now carefully, scrape them out along with the ribs using the tip of the knife. If chiles are to be cut up you can remove them in the following manner:

Cut the chili in half lengthwise. Use your fingers, you are wearing your gloves aren´t you and scrape out the seeds. "Oh,yes you can use the tip of the knife".

Simply scrape out the ribs removing the seed and all the pale white parts of the hot chile.
